Wind Club FAQs

Wind Club FAQs

How do I know what is happening each week and how do I sign up?

Every Thursday evening we will drop a message into the Wind Club WhatsApp group chat, letting you know the plan for that week. All you need to do is fill out the form (which will also be posted in the chat) to claim your spot and show up on Sunday Morning ready to go!

I’m a beginner, does that matter?

Not at all! Unless otherwise stated (because of the weather), all sessions are suitable for beginners and there will be instructors on hand to help you learn.

Where are the sessions held?

Sessions are held at the Watersports Academy in Sandbanks, Poole. Address: 15 Banks Road, Poole BH13 7PS or what3words: foam.inches.wiring

Where can I park?

There is plenty of on road parking available opposite the Watersports Academy. Please note this is paid parking. There are free spaces at the top end of Chaddesley Glen, about a 10-minute walk from the Academy. What3words: object.patio.blame

What should I wear/bring with me.

We would advise that you wear a wetsuit for the session and water shoes/boots if you have them. Don’t worry if you don’t, wetsuits and shoes are available to hire from the Academy free of charge. You will also be provided with a buoyancy aid. It’s always a good idea to bring suncream, water and a towel with you.

How much is it?

We are proud to offer sessions at £30pp as a lesson like this would typically cost £65+.

Do you take cash or card?

We accept both cash and card payments.

How long is the session?

We are on the water from 10am-12pm. Please aim to be there around 15 minutes before the sessions starts for a briefing, to get into wetsuits and fill in a short form (on your first session).  Please also factor in at least 15 minutes after the session for a debrief and group photo!

Do I need to bring my own sports equipment?

No, all equipment for the session is included in the session price.

How many people are usually on a session?

This varies depending on how many instructors there are. With 1 instructor there can be up to 6 on a session. With 2 instructors there can be up to 12.

Can I bring a friend with me?

You are welcome to bring a friend with you if you’d like to, however they must have also joined the WhatsApp group, and confirmed their attendance by filling out the form.

What can I expect on the day?

Learning new skills, meeting lovely likeminded people, and whole lot of fun! For a more detailed look into what to expect on the day, give our article a read here.
